My Music World

I was cruising the Internet at work killing time. I seem to do this a lot because work is so boring. I got to thinking about the modern work place and how much things have changed since the intruduction of the Internet. I often wonder if the work wold is actually more productive with the Internet. It seems that most people I know waste tons of time each day with personal email, paying bills, watching Youtube.com, and just general web surfing.

I was doing some research, I wish I could say it was for work…but it was not. I was checking out one of my favorite local bands and found that they had posted a new music video. I loved it, although the band is not big time by any means the video was very professional. I have some projects for work where I need some high quality videos produced. I emailed the band to try and track down who was responsible for this totally hip high quality production. The band was nice enough to get back to me and lead me to a local production company. I was surprised that they would admit that they buy sound effects from an online company. Either way I was really impress with their work.

Did you follow my meandering? I started off by wasting time by watching a video on my favorite local band and ended up closing a deal I was on deadline with for my job. Some times it pays to wast time and surf the web. Maybe wasting time is actually being productive

I am very excited for the concert I will be attending this Friday. I think my favorite way to see a band is in a small outdoor venue. I am lucky enough to be seeing Modest Yahoo at a wine vineyard.  I’ve never seen a concert at this particular place but I have only heard really good things about it. Summer is a great time for concerts and because of my work schedule I have been unable to make any shows. In fact, now that I think about it I don’t think I’ve seen a concert outdoors since Dave last summer. That makes me sad. But there is no time for being sad since I am seeing a show with all my friends. It’s hot, I’m thirsty, so bring on an amazing concert! For all you music fans out there, what is your favorite outdoor show?

I love to go to concerts so I will defiantly writing about the concerts I attend. I also dabble in music myself. I also have done a number of music videos of local bands.
